Visitors are invited to tour the Palace at their own speed. Guides are available in each room to answer questions. Guided tours can be arranged and have one guide allocated to the whole tour for which there is a charge. French and German speaking guides are usually available by appointment (there is a charge for this service).

Guide Books
With stunning photography and informative, well researched text the Scone Palace guidebook is not just a souvenir of Scone Palace, but also an excellent value for money publication. The guide book is available to purchase, priced £4.00. A children's I SPY leaflet, which includes a free pencil, is also available priced at £1.50.

Restaurant
The newly extended Old Servants' Hall Coffee Shop serves home baking and savoury snacks throughout the day. All sandwiches are freshly prepared on the premises each day, and include everyday favourites as well as a number of new introductions. The Old Kitchen Restaurant is also available for booked lunches and daily visitors during the months of July and August.

Shop
The refurbished Scone Palace Gift Shop is open to visitors. There are many new product lines, featuring many of the works of art in the Palace - for that something just a little bit different..... The Palace Food Shop has also doubled in size and more than trebled in stock ......

School Visits
School Visits are welcome, and Scone Palace has also been awarded a Sandford Heritage Education Award for its very popular Education Pack.

Scotland's Treasure Ticket
The Scotland's Treasure Ticket offers terrific value for entrance to Scone Palace, Blair Castle, Glamis Castle, The Famous Grouse Experience in Crieff, and Bell's Blair Athol Distillery in Pitlochry. Priced at only £18 for adults, £16 for Senior Citizens/Students, £10 for children, and £45 for a Family Ticket. Tickets are on sale at all the Houses, and are valid throughout the 2008 season. Each ticket allows one visit per attraction.

Parking for Coaches and Cars
There is free parking for 200 cars and 12 coaches. The car park extends into the picnic area.

Advice for Couriers and Drivers
Pre-booking is advisable during normal opening hours. Parties of over 60 must be pre-booked at all times. Allow at least 1½ hours for visit, especially if weather is suitable to tour the grounds, longer if meals are required. Coach drivers and couriers are admitted free and receive a free meal appropriate to the time of the day and that served to their clients. Our apologies, but owing to reasons of security and conservation, photography is no longer permitted within the Palace.

Facilities for the Disabled
Wheelchair users may alight at the Palace Gift Shop entrance, where a chairlift makes access into all of the State Rooms possible. There is also wheelchair access to the Restaurant and toilet facilities at the Estate Office at the rear of the Palace.
